You can choose to copy events from a previous season when creating a new season. This can save you a lot of time without having to retype the same events from last season.


Step 1


Login to the to your Administrator Account of your esportsdesk.com website.

 

 


Step 2


If necessary, pick the site you want to work on from either the Sites link or from the drop down list at the top of the page (if available).  Then click Seasons in the administrator navigation, followed by the green Add New Season button

 


 

Step 3


Type in your Season Name (usually the year, e.g. 2021 or 2021/2022), select the date range of your season, choose the Season Type (Regular or Tournament Play) and select whether you will be using online registration to get players into the system.


You will then need to select what data (e.g. divisions, teams, locations, game times, etc.) you would like to copy from a previous season.  


Click the blue Create New Season button at the bottom of the form.



Step 4 - If you are going to use On-line Registration


Next go to Sessions, in the Registration & Membership section on the left navigation menu, then click Add A New Session to setup a new "folder" for this new round of registrations.

 



Step 5


Fill in your new session information.


Under the Dates, two calendars will pop up; select your session start date on the first calendar, and the end date on the second. 


Then select whether you would like to copy events from a previous session. If so, you will get the option to choose which events you wish to copy over on the next screen. 


Click Proceed to next step.




Step 6


If you selected to copy over events from an existing session, select which ones you would like to import, then click Create Session.

Step 7


Your newly created session will now be the default session. Be sure to make edits to the registrations you copied over before opening them up to the public. You can change your default session by dragging the arrow icons on the left. Your changes will automatically be saved. (** Your default session will always be the one at the top of your list **)




Step 8


Click Registrations in the left navigation and then edit each event in the new session, being sure to review and update event start and end dates, registration open and closing dates, the season to which registrants will be placed, etc.
