This article will demonstrate how to set up a new registration for a Prospect Camp. This type of set up will allow you to limit the number registrants by position and set the specific price by position if required. Many teams will use the Coupon feature to allow specifically identified players to either get a discount but still register so the team captures all the data.


Step 1


Login to your Administrator account and access the SMART Administration area of your account.

Select Add New Event at the top right of the page.

Under the Event section, select Camp then click Set Up Registration.




Step 3


Proceed with completing the information requested in the Registration Form. To set the pricing for the Prospect Camp registration correctly, you need to set this as a free event first. You will add the prices for the prospect positions later (in Step 7). 


When you reach the following section of the form (as shown below), select the Yes option in the Is This Free For Individuals question.



Step 4

Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and press the Create Event button to finish setting up the first part of this tutorial

You will need to create different sub-groups for your Prospect Camp. Next to your created registrations from the Actiosn menu, click Add Sub Camps.



Step 6


You will be asked to fill out similar Registration Form again. Most of the information you filled out in Steps 3 and 4 have been transferred to this registration form.


Carefully go through the form and edit/change the fields as needed. As an example you can change the Camp Name from "PROSPECT TRY OUTS" to "Goalies." You can also limit the number of registrations for this sub-camp. Here we limit the number of Goalie registrations to 2 (shown in Step 7).



Step 7


Select No when you reach the section where it asks Is This Free For Individuals. This way we are able to add individual pricing for this prospect camp in the next section.



Step 8


Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and press the Create Registration button to finish set up this sub-camp. 


Step 9


After creating the sub-camp, you will be asked to add your price registrants will pay when registering for that specific position. Click Add Price at the top right of the page. Fill in the settings for your pricing, then Submit your pricing to save it.




Step 10


Now you can add your remaining sub camps. To save time, you can use the "Copy Event" function under the Defence sub-camp Actions menu. This will copy the event details you have set up previously and you can tweak it as necessary afterwards before saving it (such as editing the sub-camp name, pricing, dates, etc.)




Follow Steps 6 through 9 again and review your sub-camp settings before saving.


Step 11


In the below example, 2 more sub camps were added with different pricing. (i.e. Forwards and Defenceman)



You are now finished setting up your registration for your new prospect camp.
